Dr Anton Antonov is a dedicated Respiratory and Sleep Physician who works in South East Melbourne. He holds public appointments at Monash Health and Peninsula Health, as well as an honorary role at the Victorian Respiratory Support Service (Austin Health). Beyond his clinical work, he enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors in his position as a teaching associate at Monash University School of Medicine.
Before completing his medical degree, Dr Antonov graduated with honors in Pharmacy at Monash University. This background nurtured his interest in the effective use of medicines and led him to become involved in state-of-the-art clinical trials through his hospital affiliations.
He practices in all areas of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and has particular interests in Lung Cancer, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, and Sleep Medicine. Outside of his professional life, he loves spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and fishing. He’s also keen to learn about any hidden camping or fishing spots.
Dr Antonov holds MBBS, FRACP, B.Pharm (HONS I) qualifications and is proud to be a Fellow of The Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand.
