Dr. Nizam Uddin

Dr Nizam Uddin is an experienced Respiratory, Sleep and Internal Medicine Physician. He completed his basic physician training at Box Hill Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, followed by advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He also completed further training in Internal Medicine at Monash Health and a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Monash Lung & Sleep Centre.

Dr Uddin has particular clinical interests in difficult-to-treat asthma, COPD, vocal cord dysfunction, lung cancer and complex sleep-related breathing disorders. His work combines evidence-based clinical care with an ongoing interest in research aimed at improving the assessment and management of complex respiratory and sleep conditions.

He is actively involved in respiratory and sleep medicine research, including work in difficult-to-treat asthma, vocal cord dysfunction and treatment approaches for patients with mild to moderate sleep disorders. He has also contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications in respiratory and general medicine.
